for One Shot: that Feel

rip it from its silken seams
hang it on a wire
twist it by its buttonholes
singe it in the fire

close your one black-lidded eye
swear on all that’s real
no matter what you do to it
you’ll never lose that feel

Awesome. First stanza hooks me with its rapid cadence and images. Great poem.

Thanks, poets! This is the first poem I've ever written with end rhyme, believe it or not.
