Spring Forward

Mindscape is a spatial equivalent of the figure's state of mind--pink represents humor threaded through boredom and darkness.

See what happens after a visit with a friend? Friends is the spatial equivalent of a relationship.

Janet's the two-headed figure in The Opening. She's trying to talk to two people at once. Note the painting on the wall and the figure, glass in hand. This was a spontaneous work, inspired by the very free pastels of a friend, and painted in two sessions.

Landscape Ending in Head shows the layering of the space for depth.

At The Gates took only a few sessions to make. Spontaneity rules!
